Seashore Paspalum (Paspalum Vaginatum)
Seashore Paspalum this grass is another durable grass, and for California is great near coastal areas due to its ability to handle salt. Also this grass can survive being irrigated with grey water (recycled water) in areas that have water restrictions due to drought.
St. Augustine (Stenotaphrum Secundatum)
St. Augustine grass, is usually found in more tropical areas, but is starting to become more popular than Bermuda grass in some areas. Although it is not as drought tolerant as Bermuda.
